The World Health Organization called on governments to seriously consider eliminating social and religious forums and replacing them with digital alternatives, in line with the level of risk that governments should assess.<\/p>\n

While stressing the commitment of all to the social distancing law, the organization also urged the prevention of gatherings in places associated with regular Ramadan activities, such as group iftars and banquets.<\/p>\n

The organization stressed the need for the elderly and people suffering from chronic diseases to remain in their homes, as they are more vulnerable than others to the pandemic.<\/p>\n

WHO also emphasized the importance of personal hygiene and sterilization processes, with an emphasis on providing visual advice regarding how to follow precautionary measures during Ramadan.<\/p>\n

As for charity and Zakat actions, they must be carried out within the framework of strict measures of physical separation and sterilization.<\/p>\n

With regard to whether or not it is okay to fast, the organization stressed that there is nothing to prevent healthy fasting, while the statement called on injured patients to consult with their doctors in this regard.<\/p>\n
