The organization, in a statement on the International Day of Commemoration of the Victims of Genocide in World War II held on January 27, said, “The Shia sect is an essential component of the fabric of the societies in which it lives; the honorable community was an example of patriotism and commitment to citizenship in their countries, despite all the pressures and harassments.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The organization indicated that its defense of the rights of Shias “stems from its commitment to the principles of human rights endorsed by divine laws and international laws,” stressing that nothing would deter it from “working on standing by all the oppressed in the world, and confronting all currents of incitement and hatred motivated by racial and religious motives.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n
