In a statement, Shia Rights Watch said that it had received an urgent distress call from the people of the \u201cPasqal Durra Soof\u201d villages, following the campaign of the Taliban terrorist group.<\/p>\n
The distress message stated, “While Afghanistan is facing the outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic, the people of the villages of Pasqal Durra Soof have been subjected to brutal campaigns led by the Taliban criminal gangs, which left many martyrs and wounded, in addition to the displacement of dozens of villagers.\u201d<\/p>\n
It added, \u201cHundreds of women and children spend sleepless nights without food or shelter in a fearful situation of the Taliban threats, while men live on high alert armed with the lowest capabilities available to defend themselves, all in light of the government silence due to sectarian and ethnic reasons against the Hazara Shias to whom the people of these villages belong.\u201d<\/p>\n
It continued, “While we salute our faithful brothers from the regions, who are standing beside us in our ordeal since the beginning of that barbaric campaign, as well as a number of Hawza students in Najaf and Iran who have collected aid for our displaced families, we note that there is an urgent need for further support in light of the increasing numbers of displaced families that have exceeded a thousand to date, as well as the martyrs and the wounded, let alone the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic among them amid the lack of health care. “<\/p>\n
