The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) affirmed that the majority of the Yemeni people are in urgent need for humanitarian aid as a result of the war that has been going on in the country for 8 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The committee said on its Twitter account: “In Yemen today, more than 70% of people need humanitarian aid.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ICRC added, “Only 51% of health facilities are functioning in Yemen, and more than 4.7 million women and children suffer from acute malnutrition.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The war has claimed the lives of 377,000 people, while more than 3.3 million civilians have fled their homes, with Yemen’s economy dramatically deteriorating.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
