Yesterday evening, the thirtieth annual ceremony of the Council of Islamic Organizations in Chicago, USA, honored a number of outstanding Muslim activists, businessmen, and media professionals for their significant contributions to American society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Patch website reported that \u201cfor nearly three decades, the Council of Islamic Organizations in Greater Chicago has served as a unifying force that includes more than 400 thousand American Muslims, with more than 70 Islamic organizations, mosques and schools.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It continued, “The Council represents Muslims through a wide range of races, races, and cultures of the various communities and cultures, and among them is great cooperation and solidarity to engage and work with American society.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his speech during the honoring ceremony, the Chairman of the Council, Irshad Khan, explained the objectives, activities, expansion plans and the need for funding to continue to meet the growing needs of the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
