The Warith al-Anbiya Institute, affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), will hold an international conference in 2023 called Orientalism and Imam \u200eHussein (peace be upon him), and under the slogan \u201cImam Hussein: Global and Eternal\u201d.\u200e<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The subject of the Karbala uprising and the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) has influenced Islamic history and societies considerably. Orientalists have always investigated this issue and the noble goals of the Prophet and many works of literature have been written by them in western societies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An official with the institute, Maryam al-Yaseri, said scholars, authors and researchers are invited to submit their researches on the theme of the conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The conference will be held in Arabic, English and Persian, and under the slogan \u201cImam Hussein: Global and Eternal\u201d.\u200e<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Character of Imam Hussein and his Companions in View of Orientalists, Opinions of Orientalists about the Uprising of Imam Hussein, Sources and Methods Used by Orientalists, Views of Orientalists about the Husseini Rituals, and Orientalists\u2019 Art and Literary Studies about the Movement of Imam Hussein, are among the subjects to be discussed at the scholarly event, al-Yaseri added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The deadline for submitting papers is December 31, 2022 she said, adding that works selected to be presented at the conference will be announced by March 15, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
