The Sharjah International Book Fair hosted rare Arabic and Islamic manuscripts dating back hundreds of years, some of which were displayed for the first time in the Middle East, and others dating back to the seventh century AH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The collection of rare manuscripts on display includes some extracts from the Noble Qur\u2019an that were copied during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries AD, which is a mixture of engraved, gilded and simple pages, and \u201cAl-Dur al-Munthod fi A\u2019ajib al-Wujud\u201d, a manuscript on cosmology, copied in the twelfth century AD. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to a number of explanatory texts, a set of architectural drawings related to the content of the scientific manuscript.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The exhibition also contains a manuscript, which included the family tree of the Prophet, peace be upon him and his family, (a genealogical manuscript), as well as a set of diagrams and drawings of the tree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the engraving sheets contains a map of ancient Egypt in which the pyramids of Giza are clearly encoded, as well as some Sumerian tablets dating back to thousands of years, as well as some papyri from the ancient Library of Alexandria.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
