China’s National Health Commission announced on Monday that the death toll from the emerging coronavirus in China has risen to 1770 after the death of 105 infected people.<\/span><\/p>\n The number of infected people has reached more than 70,500 in all parts of China, mostly in Hubei Province, the epicenter of the virus.<\/span><\/p>\n The Chinese authorities placed about 56 million people in Hubei and its capital, Wuhan, in quarantine.<\/span><\/p>\n The new infections outside the epidemic outbreak recorded a noticeable decrease in the last 30 days.<\/span><\/p>\n According to the medical committee, there were 115 new injuries outside Hubei, after reaching 450 a week ago.<\/span><\/p>\n Local authorities imposed new measures in an attempt to stem the spread of the virus, including only allowing the capital, Beijing, to enter people who subjected themselves to a self-quarantine for 14 days.<\/span><\/p>\n The number of new injuries in the province began to decline after the big rise last week after officials modified methods of diagnosis, to include the calculation of injuries that are confirmed by a lung tomography.<\/span><\/p>\n A spokesman for the Chinese health authorities said yesterday that this decrease in the number of infections is an indication that the virus is being controlled.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" China’s National Health Commission announced on Monday that the death toll from the emerging coronavirus in China has risen to 1770 after the death of 105 infected people.
