Large number of civil activists from around the world differed over the policy that the new British Prime Minister (Rishi Sunak) would pursue according to his (Hindu) religious origins and his political background as a prominent member of the hardline Conservative Party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Monday, the British Conservative Party elected Rishi Sunak as its leader, thus the 42-year-old, becomes the country’s new prime minister, after his opponent, Penny Mordaunt, failed to win the 100 votes needed to support her candidacy by her fellow MPs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sonak was born in Southampton in 1980 from a family of immigrant origins, as his grandparents immigrated from Punjab in northwestern India to East Africa, after which his parents immigrated in the sixties to England, to be the first British immigrant to Britain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Activists and political analysts pointed out that “Sunak was known for his negative attitude towards immigrants and his quest to reduce their numbers, not to mention his permanent silence about the new British laws, including the (Nationality and Borders) Act, which targets Muslims in the first place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While media outlets say: “It is expected that Sunak will continue his party’s hardline policy on the issue of immigration to win over the conservative and right-wing electorate.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Such views and fears come from the rise of the Hindu politician to power, in light of what the ruling Hindu party in India is pursuing towards Muslims to the extent that they are violently killed, and their homes and personal property destroyed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
