Shias of Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) in Syria participated in the Husseini mourning procession that took place on Saturday, 17th of September, from the shrine of Lady Ruqayya (peace be upon her) to the shrine of Lady Zainab al-Kubra (peace be upon her), in commemoration of the Husseini Arbaeen Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The mourning procession was founded 23 years ago by the Zainabiya Seminary, which is affiliated with Grand Ayatollah Shirazi.
This year, the procession witnessed a massive participation, as the number of participants reached tens of thousands, to renew the pledge of allegiance to the Master of Martyrs (peace be upon him) and to support his divine cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Deanship of the Honorable Seminary in a statement received by Shia Waves News Agency said that \u201cthe Arbaeen Walk started, as in previous years, at three o\u2019clock in the morning from the headquarters of the blessed seminary, heading to the shrine of Lady Ruqayya (peace be upon her), and mourners performed Ziyarat and dawn prayer.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The statement added that “the participating crowds then set out on foot to the shrine of Lady Zainab (peace be upon her), with the participation of the professors and students of the seminary, the clergy, and female students and teachers of the women’s seminary with large crowds of believers.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The statement explained that “the procession witnessed the participation of large crowds of believers, which exceeded tens of thousands, who came from various Syrian regions, as well as mourners from Arab and Islamic countries, including (Afghanistan, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran and the Arab Gulf states).”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The great event was similar to a mini-Arbaeen Pilgrimage that Syria witnessed on the morning of Saturday, the twentieth of the month Safar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The mourners visited the Zainabi Holy Shrine and offered condolences on the painful Arbaeen \u2019een anniversary, while the Husseini Mawkibs spread along the road mobilized their efforts to serve the participants.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
