The movement’s spokesman said in an audio recording that the attack targeted a Turkish convoy and Somali forces, threatening to continue attacks on Turkish officials in the country.<\/p>\n
It is noteworthy that the attack was carried out by a suicide bomber targeting a security checkpoint northwest of the Somali capital, Mogadishu, on Saturday, killing at least 90 people, making it the deadliest attack in the country in nearly two years.<\/p>\n
Among the dead were two Turkish workers from a team of engineers working to construct a road on the outskirts of the capital.<\/p>\n
