The Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, warned against attempts to weaken the holy Husseini rituals by even those who claim to be followers of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them), stressing that the greatest response to these is the spread of the Husseini mourning ceremonies in every part of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His Eminence said in his lecture regarding the advent of the Month of Sorrows: \u201cThe prominent and clear growth in the holy Husseini rituals is a great model of the Husseini characteristics, which we do not find even in the history of the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him and his progeny) and the pure Imams (peace be upon them).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that “the faithful Shias must establish the rituals of the Master of the Martyrs (peace be upon him) and revive his cause better than ever, even if this requires spending or even borrowing money in order to revive it.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His Eminence stressed, \u201cWe must strive to be among the group of those who leave a mark for the great day of Ashura,\u201d in response to the attempts of some to obliterate and weaken these sacred rituals by saying that \u201ctheir fate is like the fate of the cursed Umayyads. They buried themselves in history, and that must be taken into account.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His Eminence also pointed out that “everyone, whether scholars, clerics, seminary students, universities and the general believers, should strive to have a role in glorifying and spreading the Husseini rituals and fulfill their full responsibility towards them.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
