This practice is not the first of its kind where the Iranian political system suppresses the followers and representatives of Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Shirazi on important religious occasion like Muharram. This time directly forcing restrictions upon his elder son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
More than 5 months ago, the Embassy of Iran in Kuwait refused to renew passports belonging to the grandsons of Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Shirazi, resulting in not being able to return to Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Such behaviour towards the household of the Grand Ayatollah indicates that the Iranian government is under pressure by the daily religious meetings which are held in his house, where he criticizes the corruption, unlawful policies and oppressions being practised against the people by so-called Islamic governments, especially in Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On March 6th 2018, Ayatollah Sayyed Hussain Shirazi was arrested and detained because of comments made criticizing the Iranian leader by comparing the “Wali Faqih” in Iran as “Pharaohs” of Egypt, who did not allow any criticism nor accepted any responsibilities for their actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The leadership of Ayatollah Shirazi has always been growing throughout history, and never had the Shirazi family sided with any governments oppressing its people, being well-known for their opposing stance by constructive criticism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
