His Eminence said in an answer to a religious inquiry that read, ‘Is it possible that the Husseini rituals and the Husseini mourning be obligatory?’<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His Eminence said, “Yes, as a group of Shia jurists issued a fatwa that Husseini rituals are obligatory in special circumstances or conditions.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Grand Ayatollah had said earlier, that the goal of establishing the Husseini rituals is to clarify and confirm why Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, was martyred, and this is what must remain alive and immortal, even if it necessitated or led to the killing of thousands of believers, as what happened in the past, such as the al-Hurra incident.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
