Several shots came into a mosque on Plymouth Road in Detroit, US state of Michigan, worrying worshipers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe come here to pray. We don\u2019t come here to get killed. I don\u2019t know if the shooter did it by accident or if it was intentional. We don\u2019t know yet,\u201d said worshiper Amadou Diallo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhen shots were fired down the street, the mosque was hit unintentionally. So, we\u2019re just thankful that no one was harmed at the mosque or anywhere in the vicinity,\u201d said Commander Chambers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The same unfortunately can\u2019t be said for those hit at a spot nearby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThree individuals who were struck with non-life-threatening injuries. And they had been discharged from the hospital,\u201d said Commander Chambers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mosque members will now be working to fix the damage as the police department looks for any new leads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are actively looking for the shooters. We are in the evidence collection process and we hope to have some individual testimony very soon,\u201d Commander Chambers insisted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Investigators are still asking those with any information to come forward as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A $1K reward is being offered by The Michigan chapter of Council on American Islamic Relations for any information leading to a request.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
