The city of Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, is witnessing the construction of a new mosque that can accommodate 10,000 worshippers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Local media sources reported that the new mosque, which will be built through donations from benefactors, will become one of the largest mosques in Central Asia, as it will be built on the site of the former Central Mosque, which was built in 1995 at the intersection of Moscow and Kogol streets in the Kyrgyz capital, Bishkek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The sources stated that the former mosque was small and it was difficult for worshippers to perform prayers in large numbers, in addition to the lack of a parking lot for cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new mosque will feature an underground car park, where planning for its construction will begin within the next month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
