Italy\u2019s Holy Quran Society held an award ceremony for the winners of the Quran memorization competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The contest was organized by in two sections for men and women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The contenders competed in the categories of memorization of the entire Quran and memorization of one part, three parts, five parts, 10 parts, 15 parts, and 20 parts of the Quran, according to media sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Six prominent Quran experts made up the competition\u2019s panel of arbiters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Former Sheikh-ul-Qurra of Egypt Sheikh Ahmed Isa al-Mi\u2019sarawi, and representative of the World Association of Quran Memorization Sheikh Abdul Rahman al-Awsi as well as imams of mosques and Islamic centers of Italy attended the awarding ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After recitation of some verses for the Quran, the speakers underlined the need for reading and memorizing the Holy Book and contemplating its concepts. They also stressed the need for acting upon the Quranic teachings and culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
