A group of Muslim mothers at the Clear Lake Islamic Center, south of Houston, USA, held a symposium entitled “Know the Muslim Student” to discuss the most important issues related to Muslim students during the holy month of Ramadan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
About 100 Muslim and non-Muslim teachers, and 100 Muslim students, in addition to a number of parents from all over the city of Houston, Texas, participated in the symposium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The symposium aims to highlight the most important problems facing Muslim students during the fasting period in the great month of Ramadan, as well as educating non-Muslim teachers about the concept of fasting and its importance for the relatives of these students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As one of the organizers of the symposium, Dina Abdel-Rahman said: “We want to make sure that non-Muslim teachers are aware of the month of Ramadan, in order to help Muslim students complete their fast, and take care of their lessons as well.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Abdel-Rahman added: “We aim to educate Muslim students and make them aware of the holy month of Ramadan, in an attempt to make it easier for them inside the school.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
