Swiss police have launched raids in several parts of the country targeting people suspected of being linked to terrorist extremists, prosecutors said.<\/p>\n
The raids took place in the provinces of Zurich, Bern and Schaffhausen, during which police searched 11 houses, the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.<\/p>\n
The campaign targeted 11 individuals, including five minors, who will be prosecuted by a special office, the statement said.<\/p>\n
The prosecution said it had launched proceedings against six adults on suspicion of violating Swiss law prohibiting support for or affiliation with al-Qaeda-style terrorist organizations.<\/p>\n
One of those arrested was a foreign fighter who had returned to Switzerland and had previously been convicted of violating the country’s anti-terrorism laws.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
