On September 7-8, Cambridge University will host the 2nd World Conference on Mental Health for Muslims.<\/p>\n
At the conference, Jonas Kunst, professor of psychology at the University of Oslo, Norway, who developed a measure to assess Islamophobia, will speak and present his research; he explains that Islamophobia is linked to psychological problems.<\/p>\n
“By bringing together experts from different countries, we will share new approaches to treatment and raise public awareness of the cultural and religious issues that we need to know in order to better support Muslims,” said Farha Abbas, associate professor of psychotherapy at the University of Michigan and founder of the conference.<\/p>\n
