Human rights organizations and activists in the field of religion from inside and outside Iraq have urged the Iraqi government to reconsider its recent decision to accept the entry of only 40,000 Arab and foreign pilgrims into the country to participate in the Arbaeen commemoration, calling for opening the borders and allowing wide participation without specifying their numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The organizations and activists, in separate conversations with Shia Waves, considered the increase in the number of pilgrims wishing to commemorate the blessed pilgrimage, a positive development for the Supreme Committee for Health and National Safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a statement issued by the committee, received by Shia Waves, the Supreme Committee approved the entry of thirty thousand pilgrims from Iran, and ten thousand from the rest of the countries to perform the rituals of the Arbaeen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The statement indicated that “the arrival of pilgrims will be through Iraqi international airports only provided that the pilgrim brings a negative PCR test done within 72 hours before entering Iraq.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
