The International Nonviolence Organization, Free Muslim, confirmed that torture in all its forms is a flagrant violation of civil and Islamic rights.
In a statement received by Shia Waves, the organization stated that it had seen with great pain some of the video footage of the violations committed against detainees in various prisons and in many countries, including Evin Prison in Iran, expressing its condemnation of these violations and calling on the official authorities to assume their legal and moral responsibilities regarding what is happening.
The organization stressed that they are a flagrant violation of Islamic teachings, international laws and humanitarian norms, warning of the dangers of continuing these serious violations.
The organization pointed out that the prisoner is subject, according to the law, to special care that respects and preserves his legal rights, especially his personal safety and dignity, and the consequent duties of the detaining party, indicating that these violations require punishing the perpetrators and compensating the detainee morally and materially for the harm he sustained as a result of ill-treatment and violation of his guaranteed rights.
At the conclusion of its statement, Free Muslim stressed the need to improve the reality of prisons in general, restore their reformist role, and combat the methods of abuse or repression practiced against inmates.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
