On Friday, unknown assailants attacked a mosque in the town of Schleswig, Germany.<\/p>\n
The State Security Directorate of Flensburg said in a statement that the Uyis al-Qarni mosque, run by the Turkish-Islamic Union of Religious Affairs (DIMT), was attacked on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The statement said that unknown persons entered the mosque, ripped pages of the Quran and damaged parts of the mosque.<\/p>\n
For its part, the police announced in a statement that they opened an investigation to uncover the circumstances of the attack, and requested assistance from the residents of the town to arrest the perpetrators.<\/p>\n
