The head of the parliamentary committee of endowment and religious affairs, Hussein al-Yassari, issued an official statement in which he demanded the government and the prime minister to allow foreign visitors to participate in the pilgrimage of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, taking into account the conditions of public safety.
“Today we are witnessing the advent of the month of Safar and we are approaching the pilgrimage of Arbaeen of Imam Hussein peace be upon him, with feelings of faith, sadness and loyalty to the master of martyrs, his family and companions, and to console Sayeda Zainab peace be upon her. In this regard, the parliamentary committee of endowment calls on the Prime Minister, Mustaf al-Kadhumi, to give permission to foreign pilgrims to participate in the pilgrimage.\u201d, Al-Yassari said in a press meeting.
He called on the presidency to give visas to pilgrims with the application of all health measures. He also addressed the presidency of the Shiite Endowment and Holy Shrines Secretariats to complete completing their health, security and service preparations to receive the pilgrims of Al-Arbeen in order to ensure that coronavirus pandamic does not spread.
Al-Yassari stressed the need for of a specific mechanism by the concerned authorities to allow the entry of foreign visitors individually or collectively, organized under full security and health control, provided that they provide a medical certificate of their absence from the coronavirus.
Official, religious and popular calls continue to demand that Arab and foreign visitors be allowed to participate in the ceremonies commemorating Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, while stressing the commitment to health and preventive measures.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
