{"id":6797,"date":"2018-12-12T15:59:23","date_gmt":"2018-12-12T15:59:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shiawaves.com\/english\/news\/islam\/6797-arms-seized-from-an-empty-house-in-karachi-raid\/"},"modified":"2018-12-12T15:59:23","modified_gmt":"2018-12-12T15:59:23","slug":"arms-seized-from-an-empty-house-in-karachi-raid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shiawaves.com\/english\/news\/islam\/6797-arms-seized-from-an-empty-house-in-karachi-raid\/","title":{"rendered":"Arms seized from an empty house in Karachi raid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two suspects affiliated with the Muttahida Quami Movement\u2019s (MQM) South Africa network were taken into custody by the Rangers during a raid in North Karachi Sector III on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h4>Two suspects affiliated with the Muttahida Quami Movement\u2019s (MQM) South Africa network were taken into custody by the Rangers during a raid in North Karachi Sector III on Tuesday.<\/h4>\n<h4>On information provided by the suspects, the paramilitary force also raided an empty house in Azizabad and seized a large cache of arms and ammunition.<\/h4>\n<h4>The seized items included around 40 weapons, 17 kilogrammes of plastic explosives, 350 hand grenades, more than 100 rockets, Avan bombs and launchers and more than 42,000 bullets.<\/h4>\n<h4>The suspects were identified as Mustaqeem and Muqeem. Rangers spokesperson said the suspects were constantly in touch with the MQM South Africa\u00a0 network.
