{"id":6454,"date":"2018-09-23T17:11:43","date_gmt":"2018-09-23T17:11:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shiawaves.com\/english\/news\/islam\/6454-afghan-forces-thwart-deadly-bomb-explosion-in-capital-kabul\/"},"modified":"2018-09-23T17:11:43","modified_gmt":"2018-09-23T17:11:43","slug":"afghan-forces-thwart-deadly-bomb-explosion-in-capital-kabul","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shiawaves.com\/english\/news\/islam\/6454-afghan-forces-thwart-deadly-bomb-explosion-in-capital-kabul\/","title":{"rendered":"Afghan forces thwart deadly bomb explosion in capital Kabul"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Afghan security forces have thwarted a deadly bomb explosion in capital by seizing an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted on a roadside.<\/p>\n<p>  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00a0<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">The Afghan security forces have thwarted a deadly bomb explosion in capital by seizing an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted on a roadside.<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">The Ministry of Interior (MoI) in a statement said the security forces discovered and defused an Improvised Explosive Device planted on a roadside in Dehsabz district.<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">The statement further added that the bomb was discovered and defused at around 7:30am local time today.<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">The anti-government armed militant groups including Taliban militants have not commented regarding the report so far.<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">Taliban and other militants often use IED as the weapon of their choice to target the security forces and government but in majority of such attacks ordinary civilians are targeted, besides such attacks often claims the lives of the militants as well.<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">The UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) in its latest report stated that 1,692 civilians were killed in the first six months of 2018.<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00a0\u201cThe combined use of suicide and non-suicide IEDs caused nearly half of all civilian casualties.
