The fifth edition of \u201cTarateel Sajjadiyyah\u201d international festival will be organized by Imam Hussein holy shrine in the holy city of Karbala, Iraq.<\/p>\n
According to the website of the holy Shrine, a number of religious and academic figures from Iraq and some other Arab and Muslim countries will attend the program.<\/p>\n
The festival, which has been planned on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Sajjad , the fourth infallible Shia Imam, peace be upon him, will start on October 16.<\/p>\n
Mohammad Abdul Salam, director of the festival\u2019s book fair, said that 50 publication centers from Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Tunisia, and Jordan as well as Iraqi cultural institutes will present their works at the book fair.<\/p>\n
The 10-day event will be held at Bayn al-Haramayn (the distance between the holy shrine of Imam Hussein and al-Abbas, peace be upon them, in Karbala) with the aim of disseminating the teachings of Imam Sajjad, peace be upon him, about human rights and society which the Imam mentioned in his supplications, \u201cSahifa Sajjadiyyah\u201d and \u201cTreaties of Rights\u201d.<\/p>\n
The festival also aims to introduce the intellectual heritage of the infallible Imam, peace be upon him, and its role in promoting the human rights culture and clarify the concept of peaceful coexistence among the followers of different religions stated by the Imam in the two works.<\/p>\n
