According to the officials most of the victims have been civilians \u2013 all either killed or wounded in 30 insurgent-related incidents including armed attacks, complex attacks, explosions and criminal incidents.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The officials said that in this time more attacks took place in Nangarhar than in Kabul.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom these incidents, 650 people killed and wounded were transferred to hospital, of which 160 were dead,\u201d Najib Kamawal, head of Nangarhar health department said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Nangarhar provincial council officials meanwhile said the sharp increase in civilian fatalities in the province is of serious concern.<\/p>\n
