Two soldiers were wounded in an armed attack against a security checkpoint, north of Diyala, a security source from the province said on Friday.<\/p>\n

Speaking to AlSumaria News, the source said \u201ca joint security checkpoint at the outskirts of Hawi al-Udhaim region saw, last night, an armed attack by ISIS, leaving two soldiers injured.\u201d<\/h4>\n

The situation, according to the source, is under control as the whole region was combed to follow the militants.<\/h4>\n

ISIS continues to launch sporadic attacks across Iraq against troops. Security reports indicate that the militant group still poses threat against stability in the country.<\/h4>\n

In the same context, Iraqi joint forces have arrested twelve terrorists and found families of Islamic State members in the depth of desert, within operations carried out, west of Nineveh.<\/h4>\n

\u201cArmy, police and al-Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Units) started today an operation combing Hatra region and the desert, west of Nineveh,\u201d an army source told Alghad Press on Friday.<\/h4>\n

The troops, according to the source, \u201carrested 12 ISIS wanted members, in addition to destroying two tunnels and detonating 23 bombs.\u201d<\/h4>\n
