According to Kafeel website, the team from Diwaniyah province and the one from the Popular Mobilization Units (Hashd al-Shaabi) will compete for the third prize.<\/p>\n
The competition is underway in the holy city of Karbala.<\/p>\n
It began on Thursday, May 17, which marked the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.<\/p>\n
A total of 16 teams from different parts of the Arab country have been competing for the top prize.<\/p>\n
Each team comprises a Qari, a Quran memorizer and one familiar with Tafseer (interpretation) of the Holy Quran.<\/p>\n
The Center for Educating Qaris and Quran Memorizers, affiliated to the holy shrine of al-Abbas, peace be upon him, in Karbala organizers the event annually.<\/p>\n
The competition will wrap up on the 15th day of Ramadan (Thursday, May 31).<\/p>\n
