\u201cIslam is a religion of peace. It is not a religion of hatred and terrorism. It not only propagates the safety of mankind but also guarantees the safety of all the creatures\u201d, said a scholar.<\/p>\n
Addressing on the occasion Jamiat President Maulana Asghar Ali Imam Mahdi said \u201cthe greatest challenge of the present time is the propagation of world peace and safety of mankind. The youth should work as messengers of peace and should not be enticed by the anti-social elements, he said, adding that they should work for humanity and brotherhood.<\/p>\n
He lamented that today, terrorism and militancy has reached to its highest. Humanity is groaning, there is no value of human lives. Caste conflict is promoted and the communal gulf is widened. Violence and brutality are widespread in the name of religion. In this scenario establishing peace and protecting humanity is the greatest challenge.<\/p>\n
Islamic scholars from different parts of the country are attending the two-day conference, which is being organised with the objective of combating the menace of terrorism and to promote national integrity, solidarity, brotherhood, peace and stability.<\/p>\n
