Thousands of Ahlulbait followers in Iraq and other countries have taken part, on Saturday, in peaceful demonstrations in the holy cities of Kadimiyah, Najaf, and Karbala, in addition to other cities to protest the arrest of the son of the Grand Religious, Ayatollah Sayyid Hussein al-Shirazi.<\/p>\n
The demonstrators condemned the repressive policies and the continuing violations committed by the Iranian authorities and insults against the Grand religious authority, represented by the Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, may Allah prolong his life, and the illegal, humiliating arrest of his son in front of the masses.<\/p>\n
The demonstrations attended by many religious, social, tribal and cultural figures and large crowds of followers of Ahlulbait, peace be upon them, demanded the Iranian authorities an immediate release of Ayatollah Hussein al-Shirazi and an official apology for the religious authority.<\/p>\n
Cities in many Arab and foreign countries are witnessing widespread popular demonstrations and angry protests against Iranian authorities for insulting Grand Ayatollah Shirazi and arresting his son, Ayatollah Shirazi.<\/p>\n
