The announcement came only moments after the third session of the trial warped up on Thursday.\u00a0<\/h4>\n

The head of Bahrain\u2019s military justice department, Youssef Fleifel, announced that the ban extended to \u201cprint, visual, audio or electronic media\u201d.\u00a0<\/h4>\n

Fleifel claimed that the move was in the interest of the general public and would \u201cpreserve the integrity of the evidence\u201d.\u00a0<\/h4>\n

But the military trial of civilians \u2013 the first of its kind in Bahrain following a widely criticized constitutional amendment in April \u2013 is already seen as highly controversial.\u00a0<\/h4>\n

According to Human Rights Watch (HRW), Manama \u201cmade clear once again that justice is the last thing that Bahraini citizens can expect\u201d.\u00a0<\/h4>\n

Four of the defendants, who are being accused of belonging to a civilian \u201cterrorist cell\u201d were forcibly disappeared by the kingdom\u2019s security apparatus.<\/h4>\n
