The International Media Center of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has organized its first international conference under the slogan, \u201cA World Order of Peace & Co-existence; Life and Teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)\u201d in Imam Hussein Holy Shrine \u2013 Karbala, Iraq.<\/p>\n
The conference aimed to unite all sects and clear any misconceptions about the religion of the Prophet of Mercy.<\/p>\n
Recitation from the Holy Quran kicked off the interfaith event amid an attendance of eminent Christian priests, renowned Sunni scholars and international media outlets.<\/p>\n
\u201cTerrorists are not able to reach their goal of dividing the Iraqi nation. We will stand together and events like this conference help instil peace, love and brotherhood amongst all sects in our beloved nation,\u201d said representative of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Iraq Father Keybork Arshkiyan.<\/p>\n
Head of the International Media Center Hassan Ali Kadhum mentioned that the attending guests would be taken to Najaf and Baghdad to examine the Iraqis\u2019 extent of acceptance of \u2018the call to defend the nation\u2019 issued by the Supreme Religious Authority that unified the ranks from one side and sponsored the IDPs due to ISIS\u2019 terror from the other.<\/p>\n
