\u201cWe have received 11 dead bodies and 75 injured, four women were among the dead,\u201d SeeminJamali, a doctor at Karachi\u2019s Jinnah hospital, told AFP.<\/p>\n
Most of the victims had suffered from smoke inhalation or suffocated, Jamali said, adding that the deceased include three foreigners.<\/p>\n
Some people were injured after jumping from windows to escape the blaze. Police Senior Superintendent SaqibMemon said the cause of the fire in the Regent Plaza Hotel was not clear and an investigation had been launched.<\/p>\n
