Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Taqi al-Qumi has passed away on the 25th of the holy month of Muharram in the holy city of Karbala.<\/p>\n
The funeral took place in the holy city of Karbala, and the Prayer for the Deceased was held in the presence of a number of religious and public figures. Another funeral will be held in the holy city of Najaf where he will be buried.<\/p>\n
His eminence was the student of a number of prominent Shia top clerics namely; Seyyed Muhammad Hadi al-Milani, Seyyed Abdul Hadi al-Shirazi, Sheikh Hassan al-Hilli, Seyyed Muhammad Kadhum al-Shirazi, and Abu al-Qassim al-Khoei, may Allah bless their souls, in the holy city of Najaf.<\/p>\n
It is worth mentioning that his eminence was one of the defenders of the Husseini rituals and he had always stressed the importance of practicing such rituals<\/p>\n
