The Liberal Democrats \u2013 who uncovered the instruction being given, in both Saudi Arabia and the UK itself \u2013 described the revelation as \u201cshameful\u201d.<\/p>\n
Tom Brake, the party\u2019s foreign affairs spokesman, called on the Ministry of Defense (MoD) to end the training immediately and for much stricter controls on arms exports to the oil-rich kingdom.<\/p>\n
The training opens up a new front in criticism of Britain\u2019s close links with Saudi Arabia \u2013 with the Saudis currently leading a coalition bombing campaign against Houthi rebels in Yemen \u2013 at growing humanitarian cost.<\/p>\n
