Police in College Station said four shots were reported at the Islamic Community of Bryan-College Station around 4:30 a.m., KAGS-TV reported.<\/p>\n
Glass near the entrance was shattered, and there was a bullet hole in a wall near the front doors.<\/p>\n
“These kinds of things do happen, but we cannot let them stand in our way of worshiping God,” Anwer Ahmed said at a news conference, The Eagle reported.<\/p>\n
No one was in the building when the shots were fired, and no one was injured.<\/p>\n
Wednesday was Eid al-Fitr \u2014 the day Muslims celebrate breaking their Ramadan fast \u2014 but the community center’s president did not believe that was the reason the center was targeted.<\/p>\n
