Local Iraqi Commander Sirwan Barzani told the media network Rudaw that ISIS chemical raid on Saturday wounded at least 14 soldiers.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Iraqi Forces launched a counterattack and used heavy equipment to diffuse the poisonous gas.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe state of those injured troops is stable,\u201d Barzani said, adding, \u201cAfter a counterattack by Iraqi forces, the situation at the battlefield has stabilized.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Last week, Director General of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) Ahmet Uzumcu said fact-finding teams from The Hague-based watchdog have discovered traces of sulfur mustard, commonly known as mustard gas, in attacks carried out by ISIS.<\/p>\n
