The activities of al-Tammar 7th Cuktural Festival has been kicked off in the holy city of Najaf with the attendance of many religious, cultural and political personalities, along with academicians and poets.<\/p>\n

The president of Shia Endowment Diwan, Sheikh Ali al-Khateeb, said that the festival was held to revive the memory of Maytham al-Tammar (r.a); the great fighter and the loyal companion of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, especially Islam faces these days a number of threats that needs great fighters to follow that path of Maytham al-Tammar.<\/p>\n
It is to mention that the special secretariat of Maytham al-Tammar shrine holds on the 5th of Thil Qidaa annual cultural festival attended by many Hawza, cultural, political personalities, along with some poets, journalists, and academicians<\/p>\n
