Young people and supporters of the Green Party, were most likely to look favourably on Islam, with 61 and 69 percent positive responses respectively.<\/p>\n
Fifty percent of centre-left Social Democrat supporters agreed Islam belonged in German society.<\/p>\n
Germany is believed to be home to nearly 4 million Muslims, including 220,000 in Berlin alone.<\/p>\n
