During the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, leaders from several African countries highlighted the need to address the imbalance of power in global affairs and ensure a more equitable role for Africa in major international decisions.<\/p>\n
According to Anadolu Agency, the presidents of countries including Kenya, Sierra Leone and Seychelles emphasized the importance of reforming the UN Security Council and called for Africa to receive at least two permanent seats on the council.<\/p>\n
Other African leaders, including officials from Ghana, Ethiopia and Tanzania, criticized existing inequalities in the international financial and economic system.
