Lebanon: Israeli Escalation Amid European Moves to Launch a Military Mission<\/p>\n
The Israeli army continued its operations in southern Lebanon on Tuesday, coinciding with an announcement from an EU official regarding the readiness of more than 10 member states of the bloc to contribute to supporting Lebanese forces.<\/p>\n
In field developments, the Israeli army conducted explosions in the town of Mansouri, Tyre district, and in the town of Rshaf, Bint Jbeil district. Artillery shelling also targeted the town of Mansouri and the outskirts of the towns of Hadatha and Braachit.<\/p>\n
The Israeli army announced the destruction of missiles and launch platforms belonging to Hezbollah in the security zone of southern Lebanon.<\/p>\n
