The office of the supreme religious authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, extended congratulations to the Islamic nation, particularly the followers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) and his grandson, Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him). <\/p>\n
In a post on the official website of His Eminence’s office, followed by the “Shia News Agency,” it states: “On the occasion of the birth of the Prophet of Mercy and the Herald of Guidance, our Master the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family), we extend our highest congratulations and blessings to the exalted position of the Awaited Imam Mahdi, may our souls be sacrificed for him, and to the believers around the world.” <\/p>\n
The office\u2019s congratulations on the birth anniversary of Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) also include: “We extend our highest congratulations and blessings to the honorable position of our Master, the Awaited Imam Mahdi, may our souls be sacrificed for him, and to the believers around the world, on the blessed occasion of the birth of Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him), the disseminator of Islamic sciences.” <\/p>\n
Ayatollah Shirazi emphasizes in his guidance the importance of reviving the events of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and expressing joy on their joyous occasions, based on what is narrated from the infallible Imam (peace be upon him): “They rejoice in our joy.” <\/p>\n
