Grand Ayatollah Shirazi: Imam Hussein Knew Every Detail of Karbala Before His Birth, Before Creation of Angels

\nThe daily scholarly session of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi was held on Friday, the 17th of Muharram 1448 AH.<\/p>\n
As in previous sessions, His Eminence answered questions from those present on various jurisprudential issues.<\/p>\n
Speaking about Imam Hussein\u2019s knowledge of the events of Ashura before they took place, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi said that before Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, was born, from the time of his birth, during his infancy, and afterward, the details of what he would face had already been narrated by the Prophet of Allah and Imam Ali, blessings be upon them both. He said the events that would occur were fully known and clearly specified.<\/p>\n
His Eminence emphasized that Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, knew in advance everything that would happen, adding that this matter is mentioned in numerous narrations and statements attributed to the Imam himself.<\/p>\n
Grand Ayatollah Shirazi further stated that Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, sought to remove a major deviation and evil from the face of religion, and that he succeeded in doing so. He explained that this mission was obligatory upon Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, although it may not have been a legislative obligation, since narrations indicate that Almighty Allah permitted Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, not to accept martyrdom. Rather, he said, it was an ontological obligation.<\/p>\n
His Eminence stressed that Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, had complete knowledge of the entire story of Karbala, in all its details, in the world of light, even before Almighty Allah created Jibra\u2019il and Mika\u2019il.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
