Grand Ayatollah Shirazi Commemorates Ashura Morning in Qom by Walking Barefoot, Without Cloak

\nThe senior religious authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, commemorated the morning of Ashura 1448 AH in the holy city of Qom by walking barefoot and without a cloak, in an annual tradition expressing grief and sympathy over the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, his family, and his companions.<\/p>\n
The ceremony was attended by a group of scholars, seminary figures, cultural and social personalities, as well as Husseini mourners who accompanied Grand Ayatollah Shirazi on this occasion. Participants renewed their condolences to Imam al-Mahdi, may Allah hasten his noble reappearance, on the tragedy of Karbala.<\/p>\n
