According to the sources, the Taliban Ministry of Justice summoned several representatives of the Shia Ulema Council and the Shia High Council to the ministry\u2019s headquarters. They were held from the morning until the afternoon before being required to sign pledges related to implementing instructions to remove Muharram flags from some mosques and Husseiniyas.<\/p>\n
The sources added that authorities detained at least 30 members of the Shia community in connection with the events, with some reportedly still in custody. Reports indicate that the release of some detainees may be linked to the removal of mourning flags from places where religious ceremonies are held.<\/p>\n
These developments follow reports of clashes between Taliban personnel and participants in Ashura ceremonies in Kabul, including the removal and tearing down of mourning banners and the arrest of mourners in recent days.<\/p>\n
