Mourning processions moved through several streets of the city in an atmosphere of grief and solidarity. Participants raised black banners and recited elegies and chants recalling the uprising of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and the sacrifices of the martyrs of Karbala, reaffirming their commitment to the values and principles embodied by the Husseini revolution.<\/p>\n
The events also included mourning gatherings and religious lectures addressing the lessons of the tragedy of Karbala, along with traditional Husseini rituals and the distribution of votive food to mourners and attendees.<\/p>\n
