The controversy is linked to tensions in Kotdwar, where a local man, Deepak Kumar, drew public attention after defending an elderly Muslim shopkeeper who was allegedly pressured by right-wing activists over the use of the word \u201cBaba\u201d in his shop name.<\/p>\n
According to local reports, Sharma later issued threats against Kumar, who had become known online as \u201cMohammad Deepak,\u201d and allegedly announced a cash reward for anyone who would behead him.
