According to Shia Waves Agency, the organization issued an open letter to members of the United Nations Security Council ahead of discussions on regional security developments.<\/p>\n
In the letter, Shia Rights Watch said economic and security stability in the Gulf region can only be sustainable if it is based on respect for citizens\u2019 fundamental rights and equality in citizenship.<\/p>\n
The organization referred to developments in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, expressing concern over what it described as discriminatory measures, judicial restrictions, and politically motivated pressure with religious dimensions.
